I released a new collection of music compositions I created called, “Through The Hadal.” Originally it was going to be a shorter “EP,” but it’s a little too long to be an EP. I’ll just go with “album.”
The Hadal Zone is the deepest part of the ocean. The name was inspired by my 6 year old son who at one point was teaching himself about the different ocean layers.
While thinking about this ocean layer name I thought about the fact that it is below the Twilight Zone layer in the ocean. It’s further down than the zone made famous by the 1959 - 1964 TV series. In other words, the Hadal Zone is even more out there and unbelievable than the Twilight Zone.
Personally, the past six years have been, at times, even more unbelievable than Twilight Zone TV show episodes. Hence the title track from this album talking about leaving Earth due to how crazy things have been.
But, things are looking up. I’m growing as a person and I’m able to block out the crazy more often than I could in the past. So, the album also has a meditative, peaceful, and hopeful quality as well. I hope someone out there enjoys it.
