This should tell you how cool I am. I got excited today when I realized that Duck Duck Go has a browser.
Duck Duck Go is a search engine focused on privacy. They emerged on the scene around the time when people first started getting concerned about Google and their creepy ad tracking.
If you miss the old web and privacy, make Duck Duck Go your default search engine.
Their browser is currently only for iOS and Android (make a desktop version Duck Duck Go). I am using the iOS version and instantly I fell in love.
The UI is clean and easy to use and they start you off with a tutorial so you realize things like, the browser will block Google from tracking you.

In the address bar you see what the browser is blocking and it gives each website a privacy rating. Also, you may tap a fire 🔥 icon to instantly burn up all tabs and history. This is fun to do because animated fire appears and burns up the screen.
For the most part I haven’t thought twice about Google and my privacy in the past. I know their ad platform tracks me and I haven’t cared much. I mean, at least I’m getting ads that are meant for me, right? And not random ads I care nothing about. But, on the other hand and as the Duck Duck Go browser states, it’s a little creepy. It’s creepy that so many web companies follow you around the Internet.
